Nanjing Medical University (NMU), founded in 1934, is one of the top institutions of higher learning in China. Located in the beautiful city of Nanjing, which used to be the capitals of six ancient Chinese dynasties and is currently the capital of Jiangsu province, NMU consists of 15 secondary schools and 1 independent school. They are School of Basic Medical Sciences, the First School of Clinical Medicine, the Second School of Clinical Medicine, the Third School of Clinical Medicine, the fourth school of Clinical medicine, School of Gulou Clinical Medicine, School of Stomatology, School of Public Health, School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, School of Nursing, School of Medical Policy and Management, School of International Education, Kangda School, School of Continuing Education and School of Higher Vocational and Technical Education. NMU has 3 first-level disciplines authorized to confer doctoral degrees, 35 second-level disciplines to confer doctoral degrees, 3 post-doctoral stations, 7 first-level disciplines to confer master’s degrees, 55 second-level disciplines to confer master’s degrees, 3 national key disciplines, 12 provincial key disciplines, 12 five-year programs, 2 six-year dual bachelor’s degree programs, and 3 seven-year programs. Currently more than 10,000 students are on campus during the academic year. NMU has 19 affiliated hospitals and over 30 teaching hospitals in Nanjing, Suzhou, Wuxi, Changzhou, Huai’an, Shanghai and Hangzhou.
NMU has a strong faculty team of 1501 registered faculty members, including 159 full professors, 344 associate professors, 132 supervisors of doctoral programs and 386 supervisors of master’s programs. NMU’s Library is the central medical library in Jiangsu Province and the medical literature center of the university literature service system. The university library has a collection of over 1,220,000 volumes, including over 5,700 categories of periodicals in English and Chinese. 11 categories of academic periodicals, such as ‘Journal of Nanjing Medical University’, ‘Clinical Dermatology’, ’Clinical Neurology’, ’Jiangsu Medicine’ and so on are sponsored by the university. Besides, the establishment of digital campus brought convenience to the teaching, scientific research, management and study.

1. Once we get your application we shall write back to you with questions , comments and
details

2. We submit Your Application to the admission committee for international students of
university.

3. The University will give us the instruction as to accept the application or reject it.

4. If the University instructs to proceed with the admission of student we intimate you.

5. We do all the formalities and send you the acceptance letter from the University.

6. The students remit the tuition fee to the university account directly

7. Once the student transfers the tuition fee then he/she shall pay the processing fee to
our Pakistan account. [This shall be intimated to you in the form of an Invoice]

8. Once the acceptance letter is given to the student the student has to submit his
passport copy.

9. Once the passport copy is obtained we would process it with the ministry of education
and send all the original documents to the students

10. Then the student applies for the visa in the nearest Embassy/ Consulate of Philippines
in your country.

12. The visa is issued and you notify us of the student’s date of journey.

13. The student travels to Philippines to the nearest airport to the University.

14. University officials and our officials shall be there in the airport to receive the student.

15. He/She is put in hostel of the university.

16. The next day the student pays the tuition fee to the international student department
and joins the course.

17. If the student has any problems, our officials are there 24 hours to help the student

1. What are the admission requirements and my eligibility criteria for the course?
Yes, Citizen of any country is eligible to study in China as a fee paying student for undergraduate and post graduate programs.
  • For undergraduate Medical program (MBBS), HSSC with min. 50% Marks in with Subjects in Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
  • For graduate (MS, MD) - undergraduate in medicine with min. 50%. For post-graduate (PhD)- graduate in medicine
  • For Engineering and other subjects schooling equivalent to A- Levels are essential.
  • 18 to 60 years old (Depending on subjects- For medicine age limit is 30 years)
  • In good health.

2. What is the total duration of this course..?
The total duration of this MBBS course is same as in Pakistani i.e. 5 years with 1 year of internship, which you can do it anywhere either in Pakistani or China.
For MS and MD course is 3 years.
For PhD is 2 years.
3. Are there any local bodies that can help me in providing the overall info?

10. What is the medium of teaching in China?
All the universities we are representing in the medical stream are having English medium education. However, Chinese language class is included in first year, this is to make students stay comfortable by enabling them to communicate smoothly with the locals.
Some subjects in engineering are taught in English and some are taught in Chinese.
11. How is the weather there....?
In China the climate is condense and moderate. In winter it goes up to- 10? C.
During summer it is recommended that you wear light clothes. In autumn use jackets, umbrellas are also necessary. For winter, when it is freezing use fur warm coats and shoes

12. When are the 1st and 2nd batches of respective Universities starts?
The 1st batch starts on March and 2nd starts from September every year
13. Give a brief idea about the Hostel facility there.
The hostel facility are up to the standards with attached bathrooms, with single, double or triple beds Air-conditioned rooms as per the choice of accommodations. Hostel is within the campus with all facilities available.
14. Whether the market is nearby or not?
Yes the market for daily needs is nearby to the campus
15. What about the availability of other facilities like laundry, library, internet, etc. there?
All such facilities are available in the hostel with an extra cost
16. Is there any dress code for college students?
There is no such dress code in any universities.
17. Are books available there or we need to carry along with us?
Some universities provides list of recommended books to carry and some books are given there during session...
18. Is there any scholarship given to student? If there, how much and what are the provisions?
The Chinese scholarship council provides scholarship to distinguished international students for masters and doctoral degrees.
19. Does stipend is provided there during internship period?
No, it is not provided.
20. Can I do my internship from my country?
Yes, but it also depends on the university applied for and also the medical board of the country where the students wants to do the internships.
21. For how many days is the vacation period there? Can a student come to Home during holidays?
The vacation period is of 6 weeks, depending on the batch of student in which admitted he/she can come between Julyand Augusts and should inform the university accordingly.
22. How the students have to pay the charges to Linkers and total course fees?
Student has to pay the processing fees by bank transaction or write transfer.
23. How a student is going to pay tuition fees and other fees?
The fee can be either transferred to LINKERS and LINKERS shall pay the fee and the related charges to the University. In some cases the student has to pay the fee to the University. It can be either in Cash, Or Demand Draft or transfer to Account of the university.
24. Whether the University will refund the fees in case the admission is cancelled?
Once the student’s reports to the university and joins the same, the University regrets its inability to refund any part of the educational fees and other expenses paid by the student. The decision is all upon the university.
25. Is there any special provision for International students to solve their any personal problems or queries?
Every university has an International Students Department where a student could address their problems directly.
26. Can a student earn while learning?
No, a student cannot do job while studying since he/she is having a student visa...
27. Can I arrive prior to the orientation day?
A: Yes. Let the admission office know your planned arrival date and LINKERS will make your accommodation reservations beginning on the day you designate. Note that you will be responsible for payment of accommodation fees for any additional days outside of your course program.
28. What other types of expenses should I plan for while in China?
A: Entertainment in China is generally inexpensive. Transportation options include the public bus (which costs less than 1 RMB per ride) and subway (2 RMB per ride), as well as taxi service which costs 10 RMB (~US$1.25) for short distances and up to 30 RMB to go across town or downtown. Many students also opt to buy bicycles while they are in China. Bicycles are the most prevalent mode of transport in China. New bicycles can be purchased for around 200 RMB (US$25).
29. How can I get or exchange money while I am in China?
You may bring money with you, either in the form of cash or traveler's checks. ATM machines are available in banks, or cash advances can be drawn over the counter at most large banks for a transaction charge. Major hotels and most fine restaurants and stores now accept credit cards. Students enrolling for longer courses can open a bank account through the local bank on campus or down town and transfer funds from accounts in their home country.
30. What do I need to bring with me from home?
Today in China you can find almost any product and brand that you would find at home. Soap, shampoo, toothpaste, etc. are all readily available. We recommend that you bring any prescription medication in sufficient quantities to last for the duration of your visit and any preferred brands of over-the-counter medications (cold & flu tablets, etc.) Clothing is also plentiful and very inexpensive. Shoes are available, but larger sizes are hard to find.
31. What vaccinations do I need for China?
The following vaccinations and applicable frequencies are recommended for students coming to China: Hepatitis A (within previous 10 years); Hepatitis B (within previous 5 to 10 years), Japanese B Encephalitis (within previous 3 years); Tetanus (within previous 10 years); Polio (within previous 10 years); and Typhoid (once in lifetime). Students 55 and older should also have a Pneumococcal Vaccine.
32. What is the voltage used in China?
A: The voltage here is 220. Converters and power strips may be purchased locally.
